In recent years, Toll Brothers has delivered a significant number of homes from hundreds of communities, with an average sales price in the mid-to-high six figures. Toll Brothers isn’t a terrible business, but it isn’t one of our picks. Although its revenue growth was solid over the last five years, it’s expected to deteriorate over the next 12 months and its projected EPS for the next year is lacking. And while the company’s astounding EPS growth over the last five years shows its profits are trickling down to shareholders, the downside is its backlog declined.
Toll Brothers’s P/E ratio based on the next 12 months is 12.9x. While this valuation is reasonable, we don’t really see a big opportunity at the moment. We're fairly confident there are better investments elsewhere.
